Coins (the poop joke)

Older store text called them monkey poop coins. They drop from taps and idle producers. The HUD prints both the pile and a coins-per-second rate (early boards sit around 3/s; a Smirkey already advertises 9.5/s on its Monkeypedia card). They buy Animal Shop feeders and jungle upgrades such as Monkey Delivery. They are the only wallet that should worry you in hour one. Farming them is its own guide.

Diamonds

Premium-adjacent, shown as a gem in the top-left. Discovering a new monkey such as Bullrilla pays 1 diamond. Customization crates cost 10 or 30 diamonds. Rainbow Power doubles cost 5 diamonds per charge. App Store rows still sell diamond packs. They skip waits or buy convenience. They are not a substitute for a legal pair. If a diamond dump still leaves you with mixed leftovers, you bought time for a bad board.

Rubies

The other hard currency. Packs, veteran bundles, and “big pack of rubies” exist because Tapps prices impatience. Rubies do not open Pantheon. Suns do. Rubies do not identify Impostors. Your finger does. Spend them on waits you understand, after upgrades make the remaining waits honest.

Suns

Pantheon money. Minted by Recreate Universe. Spent on gods. Documented in how to unlock Pantheon and the Pantheon page. If your jungle is broke and you are staring at a Sun shop, you prestiged too early or you are in the wrong room.

What never becomes a currency

Hats are not a wallet. Palettes are not a wallet. Achievements are a log. Codes, when they exist, inject one of the wallets above; they are not a fifth money type. See codes.

A healthy spend path: coins into feeders and output, Suns into a coin god, premium into time you can name. Anything else is cosmetics, and cosmetics have a door labeled customization.
