Monkey Evolution Species

Monkey Evolution never shipped a public numbered Pokédex, but the sprites, Monkeypedia silhouettes, Play Store reviews, and unlock videos agree on the job: you start with gag doodle monkeys and end with gods, holy variants, Titans, and a Monkey King.

What we can name without inventing a fake dex

In-game, Monkeypedia and the Stats Records list are the authority. This wiki only prints names that appear on those screens, in store art, reviews, or confirmed unlock videos. If a punny title shows up in your own Monkeypedia, trust that over a fan list that pretends to be complete.

Monkey Evolution Stats Records listing Baby Monkey, Monkey, Shymian, and Smirkey

Named jungle starters

An early Stats page lists the first four jungle forms in merge order: Baby Monkey, Monkey, Shymian, and Smirkey. Baby Monkey is the sitting infant the Animal Shop dumps onto grass. Monkey is the standing red-belly doodle from the store icon. Shymian is the shy mid form. Smirkey is the ram-horned sitter whose Monkeypedia card reads 9.5 coins per second, size 5 m, and a joke about watching other monkeys from a corner. Treat them as fuel. The evolution chart starts here.

Visible mid mutations

  • Bullrilla, a pink-horned white ape that pops a “NEW Monkey DISCOVERED!” banner and pays 1 diamond when first merged.
  • Unicorn-horn sitting ape from the jungle promo stills and live boards. Players often confuse it with an Impostor because it shares the field with starters and refuses mixed pairs.
  • Orange-maned horned sage with a third eye, used in later-stage marketing art.
  • Dark horned river apes posed on a map with blue water and mountains.
  • Boxy four-legged striped mutant, a reminder that “monkey” in this game is a suggestion.
  • Belzebaboon, named in a Play Store review by a player who painted one into a tiny crowned demon. The name is in circulation; the exact merge index is inside Monkeypedia.

Late showcase creatures

Unlock videos title themselves around Holy Monkey, Titans, Monkey King, and aliens. Silhouette sheets show dragon-apes, winged demons, gorilla hulks, and sphinx-like stacks. Those are collection trophies. They are not shop items you tap on day one. The tier list ranks them by board value, not by joke quality.

Species versus visitors

Anything that will not pair with its look-alike is either a unique late form, a Pantheon god, or an Impostor. Aliens in the 2016 “All Evolutions + Aliens + Titans + Monkey King” video belong in that last bucket until proven otherwise. Do not feed them shop monkeys.

Pantheon residents are a separate bestiary paid in Suns. They share a studio art style and none of the jungle merge rules. Keep them on the Pantheon page so this list stays about the evolution chain.

How to fill Monkeypedia without drowning the stage

Discovery is a byproduct of merging, not a side quest you pause income for. Push the current stage’s chain, let new silhouettes flip, then move. If you stall to keep a mascot, you will meet the creature cap described in the stage guide. Screenshot favorites, then fuse them.

Need a count before you hunt a tall form? Use the merge calculator with the step index from Monkeypedia, not with a guessed name from this page.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about the merge loop, Pantheon, and codes.

How many monkey species are in Monkey Evolution?

Enough to fill multiple stages plus Holy, Titan, King, Impostor, and Pantheon sets. Tapps did not publish a single public integer. Monkeypedia in your build is the live count.

What is Belzebaboon?

A named mutant players discuss in reviews, famous because the coloring room can turn it into a tiny demon. It is a customization celebrity, not a starter.

Are Holy Monkey and Monkey King species or bosses?

They are late collection forms shown in unlock videos, not raid bosses with health bars.
